I just made a huge breakfast and the boys have headed off to a football game. I'm going to do some planting and baking and cooking before I head over to my sister's home for Thanksgiving.
Today I wanted to thank a few people who are gone from the church that I work in. I miss them terribly and I was thinking how different my life is at work without them.
Bill, who was our senior minister is a great person. He was really wonderful to work with and he had a great sense of humor and really was a terrific person to confide in.
His wife Jane has this quiet elegance about her and a huge amount of strength. Bill has Parkinsons and they have been through a lot.
Karen was the church educator. Talk about talented....she is an amazing artist and she is so creative. She had an art studio upstairs in the church that she used for all the beautiful things she created for the church school.
Gem...she was the den mother to us all....smart, witty, sharp....you knew you were safe if she was in the building. She is a wonderful person.
It was a warm and loving place to work in. Everyone's office was so inviting and you always felt welcome.
There was beauty in everything they did.
